Bangkok August 2013: Day 2

Part 2 of Day #01 in Bangkok since my last post was the Mode Sathorn hotel review,

let me continue our day from here!

So we finally nua in the hotel room and take enough photos and willing to head out to have some food and fun! I wanted to try the Krispy Kreme in Bangkok because in Melbourne we went crazy for Krispy Kreme, Leon & I pretty much finished a dozen of donuts. lol yeah we're extremist.

I know one of the Krispy Kreme outlets is at the entrance of Siam Paragon and so we took the BTS which is right at Mode Sathorn Hotel's doorstep and just 4 stops away here we are! Went to Siam Centre to check out what's yummy first because we're sooooo hungry!

Mmmm, chanced upon this Charcoal Grill Restaurant on the top level of Siam Centre and it smells so good and looks super yummy so yay we found our lunchie spot!

EVERYTHING IS SO NICE!!! I think except the beef, which was OK, but it's pretty much the first time i enjoyed bbq pork so much! Guess the fact that it's charcoal grilled makes it yummier.. or cos my baby cooked everything for me!

Heh love eating some fresh greens like lady finger & capsicum with bbq meat! Whoa the sauces are.. THUMBS UP THUMBS UP THUMBS UP!!! Plus everything is so cheap eat already also shiok! haha

After lunch we just walked around Siam Centre where there are lots of local designer labels, spotted lots of nice stuff but so expensive, 我买不下!! Will heart bleed. Hahah even a plain basic pair of heels from Charles & Keith there is prolly SGD$100 after conversion, and forever21 is more pricey there too lol like more ex than here in Singapore!

And then we saw...

Overwhelming number of cakes on that table just drawing us in and we have no choice but to go in cos it's sooo attractive!! Hahahah jialat that was like 1.5hours after our bbq lunch only, fyi. Dunno how are we gonna stuff in all the cakes but they are all so pretty! Lol Leon & I have ZERO self control.

How adorable is this? This wooden rail road is connected throughout the entire cafe and there were these moving gears on the ceiling!

The seats are booth like and super cute too, but the table is so crazy small!

OVERORDER OVERORDER!! LOL 3 CAKES COS WE SIMPLY CAN'T JUST PICK ONE.

Wahh cannot move food coma. We walked around for like 30 mins more before giving up and decided to return to the hotel and rest + take a swim at the hotel pool.. but before we go.. hahaha we tabao-ed a dozen of those Krispy Kreme glazed babies to snack on at night at the hotel :xxx

Yes i know, we're monsters. hehehe

Back to the hotel and wah the pool is shiok! We love the jacuzzi bed, hahaha mad itchy after awhile but shiok! Anyway.. after swimming for like an hour we went back to the hotel room to take a quick shower cos we're meeting nadnut & David for dinner + massage at Chinatown's T & K Seafood, Leon was sliding the glass door to the toilet and it simply CRACKED!

Super wtf, we were damn shocked and like omg what to do now

cannot get out of the toilet cos can't open the cracking glass door also

[it's tempered glass so for like the next 20 mins we were stuck in the toilet it was cracking non-stop!]

Took an insta video, hear hear!

Mad scary, cos the glass was cracking and some bits were flying off and we were so worried it might suddenly SHATTER and fly all over, so the toilet has no phone and obviously even if we shout the hotel staff can't hear us right, then i realized i was charging my phone in the toilet!! HENG UNTIL LAO SAI! Imagine if we really have no phones in the toilet then stuck inside how! Gone case.

Googled for Mode Sathorn hotel number and quickly called the concierge to come save us!! Explain the situation and they were damn shocked also cos this has never happened. Lol see what i mean by epic shit when im travelling with the fiance? Where got this kinda BS one! Hahaha but quite exciting leh, then the staff came up and the hotel manager keep standing very near the still cracking glass door and talking to us and trying to apologize and try to calm us down i guess? [but we were very calm already la cos luckily there was a separate glass separator to the rainshower so we were hiding there in case the glass door shatters lol]

They got like a bunch of towels to lay on the floor and we were wondering if they were gonna swing a bat at it and let it crack totally or whatever lol, but they started taping the door with stripes of tape to hold it together safely i guess, then after like 10 mins we were finally oooooooout. Raaah felt like imprisoned chimpanzes hahahah.

But their service is pretty good la for something that is happening for the 1st time i guess the hotel staff also handled it very well never kan chiong also and obviously they changed a room for us [same metropolitan chic room but on the 23rd floor with better city view!]

HAHA ok drama over. Lol

lesson learnt: Go everywhere also must bring phone!!!

So we changed to the other room, showered and met nadnut & David at the hotel reception and we cabbed over to Chinatown, T&K Seafood! It's pretty famous so if you tell tuktuks/cabs they should know.

we went there twice or sth on our previous trip in 2011 [so long ago already?!] with Jayden, Mus etc and the seafood was yums and super cheap!
